Blue bin

Big excitement in the Armstrong Household this morning...

We received our new blue recycling bin. I know it's sad but I've been waiting for months to recycle my plastics and cardboard and now I can. Saves me a trip to the recycling centre out at Tesco by BMW, which I kind of feel guilty for because I sometimes go by car, which destroys all the good done by recycling in the first place.

Went bowling with OPP workmates last night. Was a good evening I got 72 in the first game, beating Ellie by 1 and then 82 in the second game but Ellie got something like 108.

Also Liverpool lost to Chelsea and didn't score any away goals, "C'mon the 'Pool" (by the way I haven't just switched allegiances, I have Liverpool at 7/1 to win the champions league.

Whist I'm on the subject, my dad got us 2 tickets to the QPR match on Saturday. I hope this is the first time he will have seen us win since the playoff final.

Another hectic weekend

Friday - Went out to Steve Kemish's Leaving do, had a great night. Ellie Drank too much and we ended up in the love bar where some toff decided to burn me with her cigarette and then pour campaign down my back. Otherwise was a brilliant night Ellie, Reena, Mark and I got a Kebab and shared a taxi home before Mark convinced me to play sing star at 3 in the morning (Sorry Sue next door).

Saturday - Woke up late, couldn't be bothered to venture to town to sort out my finances at the bank and then listened to wolves Draw 2-2 with Palace, was glad I didn't waste £30 on that, sat in the garden (it was lovely). In the evening, we went for a BBQ at Laura and Ed's house in Goring, it was warm well into the night and had a very nice chilled out evening.

Sunday - Got up, watched the championship, delivered some lib dem leaflets around Owen's Way, Went to Aikido (and regretted it as there were only 7 of us and I was uke for all the demonstrations so I'm knackered now). In the evening Ellie, Karis and I went to off to see Our Own Devices at the purple turtle. Kareem and Dan seem to be well and apparently the band is big in Latvia!

Super Leon Clarke

I can't believe that Sheffield Wednesday beat the Alb*on last night. Leon got Clement sent off as he was headbutted. Played! All we have to do is beat palace this afternoon and all will be well. I would be better if Birmingham can beat Southampton and Cardiff beat Stoke.

Went out for Steve Kemish's leaving do last night, good to see some guys from RM. Drank too much and ended up sitting on the pavement outs side Odbins and singing. Haven't done that in ages. Reena, Mark, Ellie and I got a taxi back and Mark stayed in the spare room. Currently I have the curtains drawn and I am slurping on a rejuvenating coffee.

Roll on 3pm... P.S. Finished Yes Man last night, a very good book (Ta Tom)

New Addiction

This Morning, for breakfast I had bran flakes with a sprinkling of sugar on them.

Sorry I have neglected my blog of late, I have become addicted to Facebook. I have been in touch with loads of people I haven't spoken to in years, Peakey and Kate Boardman from when I used to hang around Queens Square in Wolverhampton during the late 90s. Arun Bains and Sandeep Bogal that I went to Primary School with, people from bands we used to play with and a whole host of other people that I had almost forgotten existed.

I think I am coming down with a cold, more vitamin C is called for (I ate 3 oranges yesterday).

Also I have nearly finished Yes Man by Danny Wallace, a very good book. thanks Tom, great birthday present (you know how to pick a book). Last year he got me Angry White Pyjamas.

Happy Easter

This Easter weekend was eventful.

Friday Karis and Ellie's Brother Paul came over, we had a few drinks and played some guitar hero.

Saturday We checked out of our old house, getting £700 of our £900 deposit back (not too bad), then I listened to a very good Wolves match in which we lost to Sunderland and ended up 7th in the league.

Sunday My parents came down, Ellie and I bought a new sofa, we showed my parents round the Belfry and then took them on a punt. I got a really big splinter down my finger nail from the steaing (which hurt like hell), then we went to La Tasca for Tapas.

Got back in the car to Find out Wolves won 3-1 against Hull, whilst Dreby drew, Birmingham lost, Preston Lost and Southampton Lost, Unfortunately Stoke and Albion won but Wolves are now 5th. (We are still not going up - Even though only Sunderland can claim to be on form at the moment).

Last night we put together our new TV unit and I went to bed, Ellie was up half the night on Facebook found some people I haven't seen in ages, Gemma Midaire, Peaky, Ben Roe et. al.

Weekend Away

Went up to Wolves this weekend. Went out on Friday to The lighthouse with Tom, Carrie, Big Dave and some other people. Good night out and I returned home sober (just didn’t feel like drinking after driving back).

Saturday I got my tires replace on my car, popped over to Ellie’s and then went into town with my Dad. Went to the wolves Box office to get a supporter number and then to the pub and off to the match.

We played so well in the first 20 minutes, all over the Southampton defence, demanding a world class save out of the keeper and hitting the post. On Southampton’s first attack they scored.

About 5 minutes later Garry Breen put the ball in his own net. And about 10 minutes after that it was 3-0 when Matt Murray got stranded in his own box and found himself victim to a lucky lob. To compound matters Knightly missed a penalty on the stroke of half time, but even I could tell which side he was going to put the ball.

Second half was even worse and we lost 6-0 (at home) in the end. The wolves fans with me in the South Bank were brilliant. At 6-0 down we were singing “we’re going to win 7-6”, starting Mexican waves and prising Mick McCarthy.

Sunderland Next Week - Happy Birthday Dad!

Went out for a curry on Saturday night and then got 12 hours sleep. Sunday I rang round wedding venues, went to see granddad and then picked up Karis from her mom’s pub in Oldbury and drove home.
