It's raning and the washing is out

I am sitting at work. I want to go for a walk but the sky is an odd grey colour and it is belting it down with rain. Ellie is away on a school activity day and I have left my Aikido Gi out on the washing line.

Ellie has told me that she is going to bed when she gets home, so I may go up to Silverstone to see the Aikido group up there and go for a drink.

Tomorrow we are going up to Wolves to see my parents, it’s my granddad’s 88th or something birthday Sunday. Let me work this out. He was born in 1919, so that would make him 88. Wow how good a guess was that.

It’s going to be a busy weekend. I’ve got to psychoanalyse George (Ellie’s brother) and Tom, I’ve said I will go fishing with my dad, and I’m due to play cricket on Monday weather permitting.

Still cant shift this cough, it’s not stopping me from doing anything but it’s just rather annoying.

Oh, I also say Felix’s band and Rob’s band last night (5 bands in one evening, Exeter Hall – Jericho Tavern – Exeter Hall). Brilliant!

Saturday night Ellie and I went to see Mark in Farringdon and to watch Carrie Rossiter at the Crown out there. Was a good night.

I ended up drinking too much and looked through Mark’s Croatia photos. I was a bit shook up when the alarm went off at 9 o’clock on Sunday morning. We had to go to church. Ellie wouldn’t let me speak to the vicar as she said that I smelt of alcohol. This wasn’t very nice, although I was quite hung over.

I got home and went to bed. Woke up at 1:30 and tried to go to Aikido, got as far as Iffley Road - Realised that I was too knackered to go any further. Turned around and went back to bed.

I woke again at about 4:30. Lay in bed listening to the cricket on the Radio; then went down stairs to play Brian Lara Cricket on the play station.

Uncle Colin isn’t well, he has gone deaf and they say it is due to inflammation of his mastic, from infection. We went out to post him a get well soon card and see Karis yesterday evening. Then had a well deserved bath and unfortunately had to do some ironing. Wednesfield High School was on the telly (a programme about the foul mouthed little thugs that go there).

Mr. Clumsy

Last night I managed firstly to get mat burn of the newly layed dojo floor then I dislocated by thumb on Stuart.

The Mat burn was on my second toe of my right foot, Andy put a very nice Ikyo tenkan on me and I went flying around his hip, scraping my toes on the canvas as I went.

Then right at the end I went to grab Stuart's Gi from behind and stubbed my thumb direct into Stuart's bicep. He's a big lad and is pretty well built, something went pop but 15 minutes with an ice pack on it and then another ice block on it when I got home and it returned to normal size.

I can drive and I can type, what more could you want?

Wolves Albion tonight.

I wish I was on a beach

It's raining outside again. Who would believed that only a few weeks ago I was regularly walking in the park at lunch time. Watching the match yesterday was akin to watching bog football. Back at work this morning and I forgot to clear the washing line before I went out this morning. I have officially booked my holiday for Croatia. I also did one of these, "See which countries I've been to tick box map things", Assuming we go to Dubrovnik whilst in Croatia, see below:

I hope that next year I can make it to Mexico, Cuba and Slovakia or somewhere eastern Europe. It feels a bit of a fraud as it has coloured in the whole of the USA when I have only been to Florida and Maine.

Too much football makes you tired

Well, that's it for this season. Wolves lost 3-2 to Albion at molineux in the first leg of the playoff semi finals today. We played well but we are never going to bet them by 2 clear goals at there place. We played really well and should have gone in at half time in the lead but by the end we looked tired and lacking in inspiration. Poor lads.

Next season we will do it.

Just had a bit of a cham man session doing so well with Wolves that everyoine else in the league has 4 games in hand on us as we keep having cup games and european matches. Torton mokoku Zola and Stephen McLean are on fire and Carl Cartwright is a rock in defence.

Booked our holidays yesterday, we are off to Coratia this year. Just south of Split, a place called Podgora. Can't wait, I'm counting the days already.

MBTI course and general update

OK, So I've been a bit absent over the past couple of weeks.

To update:

I've been to see my parents last weekend and went out for Ellie's birthday, great night out, Shebab, then Blast off. Blast Off was only half open but we had fun anyway. Apparently Paulo Nutini were on in the Civic and we weren't allowed in. Still Vince, Maurie, James and Ruth, Evylin, Karis, Ellie and I had a great night.

Went to see wolves play QPR in the day time and stayed to watch the end of season parade, which was pretty good. Wolves won 2-0 and it was the first time my dad had seen them win in 2 and a half years. we sat in the North Bank for a change (there were no seats left in the south bank) and both of our goals were at the North bank end of the ground. Maybe we'll sit there again.

I've only been at work Monday and Tuesday of last week as they sent me off to do the first half of my MBTI qualifying for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. It was really quite interesting and insightful. I found out that I am ENTP which means that I am full of ideas but get distracted very easily and that I am always willing to let people know what I think. Which I think sums me up.

Last Night we had a bit of a BBQ and I psycho analysed Karis, I find myself looking for hints to people's type when speaking to them now.

Friday, we went to see the filming of channel 4's transmission (Friday night Music Show). It was really good, if a little contrived. Stood right next to Laurent Laverne and had to fight the urge to shout Kinickie lyrics at her. Maroon 5 Played and Queens of the Stoke Age. Queens were brilliant but I got a bit annoyed with the Maroon 5 fans.

Wolves play Leicester in just over an hour. We need to win to make sure of the playoffs, it's really tight:

3 Derby 45 14 81
4 West Brom 45 19 73
5 Wolverhampton 45 0 73
6 Southampton 45 21 72

7 Stoke 45 21 72
8 Preston 45 10 71

I just hope it stays like that till 3 o'clock and I'll have to start hunting for Wembley tickets.
